A winter drilling programme for two properties on the West Cedartree gold project are set to be carried out over the coming months, thanks to an equity offering of C$255,010 (£125,589) completed by Houston Lake Mining.

Drilling is planned for the Dogpaw Lake and Dubenski gold properties, located near the town of Kenora, Ontario, Canada.

"The goal of these programs is [to] build gold resources toward the justification of an onsite mill," said Houston Lake Mining's president and chief executive officer Grayme Anthony.

Operating under the slogan "Positioned today for the resources of tomorrow", the mining company is currently exploring for gold resources in north-western Ontario.

Its main focus is the West Cedartree project, where onsite operations are currently working to upgrade a historic gold resource estimate with a number of diamond drilling operations.

The Dubenski gold property is the most recent acquisition on the site and is expected to increase the gold resource base on the project site.
