Monday, 26th November 2007 (4406 views) Donations of used jewellery will be sold to benefit cancer patients in Billings, Montana, according to the Billings Gazette.The New To You charity campaign, organised by a local branch of cancer awareness organisation Relay To Life, is currently accepting donations of all types of jewellery, which will be sold during a weekend open house to benefit cancer patients at the Hardin Clinic. So far, charity workers have recorded the donation of hundreds of jewellery items, including a Black Hills gold watch studded with diamonds and a necklace worn by a belly dancer. Each item will be priced by a local jeweller before being offered up for sale. Billings is home to the Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Centre, which is the region's foremost cancer treatment facility. It provides assistance with transportation, financial aid and lodging, as well as radiation therapy, modern treatment equipment, counselling services and on-call physician support for cancer patients and their families.
