Ontario gold zone expandedWednesday, 12th December 2007 (1939 views) A gold zone at the Goldie property near Thunder Bay, Ontario has been extended following the release of sample results from five holes from a Phase Two drilling operation at the site, it has emerged.According to GLR Resources, which operates the venture jointly with RJK Explorations, the site contains a gold-bearing zone which extends over a "considerable" strike length. The zone was first discovered during a diamond drilling scheme this summer, with ongoing Phase Two operations targeting the area over a distance of 2,500 metres. Located on the Trans Canada Highway, the property is one of several gold projects currently being explored by GLR Resources in North America, including property claims in the Kirkland Lake region of Ontario. Most notably, the firm is also exploring the advanced Goldfields project, located in northern Saskatchewan near Uranium City. According to the company, the site is expected to be brought into production in early 2009.
