Radisson reports high-grade gold

Friday, 18th January 2008 (1838 views)

A 16-hole drill programme on the O'Brien and Kewagama gold projects has been completed, it has emerged.

According to Radisson Mining Resources, the recent programme intersected high-grade gold in the site's 36 East zone.

It is thought the zone may contain indicated resources of 97,000 ounces of gold, with an inferred resource estimate of a further 53,700 ounces.

A total of 7,000 metres is expected to be drilled on the site over a total of 46 holes.

"Based on experience in the Abitibi camp, the foregoing high-grade intercepts are most encouraging and call for an underground portal and ramp bulk sample," said Radisson Mining Resources technical consultant and board chairman Dale M Hendrick.

He added that the zone is very anomalous and sits in an area "pregnant" with gold mineralisation, according to a company statement.

The O'Brian project covers 576 hectares of land in Quebec, Canada, while the Kewagama project measure 111.7 hectares of land in the same region.
