Wednesday, 20th February 2008 (2586 views) Junior exploration firm HuntMountain Resources has reported "significant" gold results from the first three holes at its diamond drill programme at the La Josefina gold and silver project in Santa Cruz, Argentina.Gold grades returned so far include 19.90 g/t gold at a width of 0.88 metres, 16.50 g/t gold over 0.65 metres and 0.50 metres of 15.25 g/t gold. There were also 0.55 metres intersects of 12.40 g/t gold and 11.80 g/t gold, the company said. Some of the structures detected measured over three metres in width, it added. La Josefina is an advanced stage exploration property covering a 528 sq km area near the centre of the Deseado Massif region in Patagonia. It is one of seven properties HuntMountain Resources is developing in the Santa Cruz province of south Argentina. The others are El Alazan, El Overo, El Tordillo, El Gateado, El Lobuno and Baio Pobre.
