A forthcoming Dubai-based conference is to discuss the current issues facing the gold industry, it has emerged.

The 6th Dubai City of Gold Conference is scheduled to take place in the emirate on April 12th and 13th and will feature a range of speakers and panel discussions from various areas of the business.

According to Idex Online, ongoing problems and challenges experienced by those in the gold sector are topics up for debate, while another aim is to combine efforts and talk about ways to face the rising prices, supply chain obstacles and the growing luxury gold market.

"The jewellery industry is witnessing sweeping changes and it is imperative that we as an industry pull together to share outlooks and possible strategies," said Tawfique Abdullah, chairman of the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group.

Dubai City Guide reports that the conference will be titled Value Chain & Integration.
