Monday, 31st March 2008 (2989 views) A new, luxury edition of Apple's iPhone gadget features 24 ct gold in its design, according to reports.According to technology site Pocket Lint, the new Nightfire handset with be the "flagship" product in the ShSh! luxury range from online retailer Goldstriker. It features 24 ct solid gold accents, such as the famous Apple symbol, as well as red grain leather, which the site says has previously been used by high-end car manufacturers such as Bentley, Aston Martin and Ferrari. Production of the handset will be limited to 250 and will also be available in ivory and black. The phone will be available from the end April 2008 and is expected to be priced at around £900. According to the BBC, since Apple launched the iPhone in June 2007, it has sold 2.3 million units worldwide. Around 300 people queued to buy the iPhone when it arrived at Apple's flagship London store in November.
