High-grade gold found in Mexico

Monday, 21st April 2008 (838 views)

Exploration work at the Magistral property in northern Mexico has retuned high-grade samples of historical mineralised surface and underground works, the company behind the project has said.

Pershimco Resources said showings from the Shaft, Trench, Stockpile and Adit zones of the Rodrico claim block indicate high-grade mineralisation at the site.

The best assay result from a total of 152 specimens taken for analysis was 14.42 g/t gold, the company added.

Other selected returns include 1.15 g/t gold over 16.2 metres, 1.27 g/t gold over 10.7 metres and 1.48 g/t gold over 11.1 metres.

Pershimco director and technical advisor Jean Lafleur said the mineralisation encountered so far demonstrates the potential for "significant gold" and other metal systems.

The Magistral property is located in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, approximately 60 kilometres from the state capital of the same name. Mining at the site dates back as far as 1649.
