High-grade gold drilled in CanadaTuesday, 22nd April 2008 (464 views) Diamond drilling on the Domain project in northern Manitoba, Canada, has returned high-grade gold intercepts that the company developing the site has described as "very encouraging".Rolling Rock Resources said the drilling was carried out to follow-up "favourable" results from earlier exploration in the B zone and to test previously undeveloped zones on the property. A total of 17 holes were completed to an overall depth of 2,654.5 metres, the company said. "Significant" gold results were encountered in eight of these holes, it added. Key results from the campaign included an intersection of 4.61 g/t gold over 15.25 metres, which included an interval graded at 7.29 g/t gold over nine metres. Additional returns include values of 9.96 g/t gold over six metres, 17.44 g/t gold over 2.65 metres, 15.16 over 2.7 metres and 10.43 g/t gold over 2.67 metres. Rolling Rock president Scott Angus said the results indicated that gold mineralisation in the B zone was "increasing in width and grade to the north-west". He added that the company planned a "significant drill programme" to follow up on the results of the recent campaign. The Domain property covers approximately 14,000 hectares on the God's Lake greenstone belt, around 120 kilometres south-east of the town of Thompson, Manitoba.
