Italian jeweller unveils "Venus" collectionWednesday, 23rd April 2008 (921 views) Italian design house Stefan Hafner has launched a new range of jewellery that combines 18ct gold with diamonds and pearls, the company has announced.According to the designer, the Venus collection draws its inspiration from Italian artist Sandro Botticelli's La Primavera, which portrays the Roman goddess of love in her garden with other mythological figures including Mercury, Cupid and the Three Graces. The collection features necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings that use a combination of South Sea pearls and pear-shaped diamonds set in 18ct gold. Some of the Venus pieces also incorporate swirls of white gold encrusted with more precious stones. Pega Goldooz, general manager of Stefan Hafner in the United Arab Emirates, said the collection is one of the designers "most captivating" collections. "Stefan Hafner blends the avant-garde with the timeless, offering jewels of the rarest beauty," he added. Stefan Hafner was established in Bologna in northern Italy in 1967. It now has stores in Italy, Kuwait, Russia, Switzerland and Japan.
