Solomon Gold said: "The intersection confirms the extension of the zone of mineralisation from the discovery outcrop in Valehailala Creek, around 1,500 metres to the north-west." The best intersection so far found in the area was in Valehailala Creek last November. Results from this hole were 9.45 g/t of gold across 32 metres and 21.1 g/t of gold across ten metres. New targets have also been identified at Chupukama, Kuma, Koloula and Mbetilonga. Rock chip samples from Chupukama have produced grades of up to 47 g/t of gold. In addition, the company announced it is currently trying to get access agreements from landowners for Fauro Island. Solomon Gold also has a project in Sutakiki.
