"Significant" results for Osisko gold property

Tuesday, 22nd July 2008 (391 views)

A drill programme at South Barnet has produced "significant" gold results for Osisko Mining.

South Barnet is positioned roughly 1,200 metres from the centre of the Malartic deposit in Canada.

The significant results include 2.04 g/t of gold across 114 metres and 1.58 g/t of gold across 104 metres.

Other results include 12.42 g/t of gold across three metres, 13.08 g/t of gold across four metres and 37.3 g/t of gold across 1.3 metres.

Holes included in this programme were spaced 50 metres apart from one another along a 850 metre-long grid.

Information collected from the new results suggests "that the minimum strike length of the South Barnat zone is 775 metres with a true width between 20 and 100 metres".

Earlier this month Osisko announced it had intersected 2.44 g/t of gold across 178 metres and 3.38 g/t of gold across 85 metres at the South Barnat zone.
