Emporio Armani has launched its Spring Summer 2008 watch collection in India, according to JCKIndia.

The website said the collection is inspired by the future and has technological themes.

One of the key pieces of the range is a rose coloured gold watch for men which "has simple rose gold hour markers to create a strikingly rich and sophisticated contrast against a black dial".

The rose gold watch is also available with a silver dial.

For women the collection has stayed to a more classical design with Roman numerals and a link bracelet for the strap.

In other news, earlier this month Josh Hartnett was reported to be the new face of Emporio Armani's advertising campaign for its fragrance.

A press release from the designer said: "Josh Hartnett was the first male celebrity selected because of his onscreen charisma, elegance and sensuality."

Josh Hartnett has appeared in such films as 30 Days of Night, Black Hawk Down and Sin City.
