Matamec Explorations finds mineralisation at 53 metresWednesday, 30th July 2008 (389 views) Matamec Explorations has announced it found gold mineralisation to a depth of 53 metres at its property in the Mill Creek/Colbert zone.The company has now completed 11 drill holes at the Matheson JV gold property, covering a total depth of 3,595 metres. Results from three new holes at the site include 2.55 g/t of gold across two metres, 1.83 g/t of gold across 0.71 metres and 2.72 g/t of gold across 1.1 metres. The most significant results so far recorded were found on the east of the property at a depth of 325 metres. Mineralisation here was 29.42 g/t of gold across 1.74 metres and 24.48 g/t of gold across 1.1 metres. Further assay results are expected to be released by Matamec Explorations in mid-August. Matamex Explorations is a Canadian company with gold projects in Quebec and Ontario. Earlier this month the company announced Mr Richard H Sutcliffe was elected by shareholders to become the new director of the company.
