Friday, 19th September 2008 (2233 views) A 94-year-old jeweller has been revealed as the winner of an award in India.Dajikaka Gadgil will receive the honour from the Bombay Bullion Association for a life time's achievement in the field of bullion trade. He was one of the founders of the P.N Gadgil brand that has recently expanded to open a branch in California. Using a pun on the properties of gold, a spokesperson said that Mr Gadgil is a "glorious example of how true excellence never loses its sheen and comes out more dazzling and pure". They added that he commanded "tremendous respect" and that he has been instrumental to the success of the company. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's investment promotion and enterprise development minister is to present some of the country's jewellery trainees with their qualification certificates. Sarath Amunugama will hand over the documents at the Colombo town hall on September 19th, according to Sri Lanka's Daily News.
