HuntMountain Resources has revealed that it has received additional high-grade gold results from its La Josefina project in Santa Cruz, Argentina.

Significant figures included 6.4 g/t gold over 0.5 metres, 13.2 g/t gold across one metre, 7.67 g/t gold across 1.2 metres and 6.78 g/t gold across 2.4 metres.

"Progress continues at La Josefina and we are pleased with the consistency of high-grade results from the Veta Norte zone," commented executive vice president Matt Hughes.

He added that step-out and infill drilling will continue to be conducted at the site over the coming months in order to supplement a resource calculation expected to be released next year.

Mr Hughes also claimed that every hole the company drills has the potential to boost the firm's resources.

Argentina is becoming a key country for gold output in Latin America, increasing its production over the last three years, according to website MBendi.
