A Middle Eastern jewellery retailer has announced that it has launched a Brazilian collection of jewellery that combines gold with precious stones.

Founded in the south-east of Brazil, Vancox is making its debut in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the collection is intended to "reflect nature's beauty and the wearers' joie de vivre", according to the firm's creative head Ricardo Bronfen.

Jewellery retailer Damas is responsible for bringing Vancox to UAE and the company believes that the 18-c gold jewellery will "appeal to our sophisticated clientele".

Vancox jewellery has proven popular with fashion experts in the US and the brand was launched two decades ago, with its main workshop located close to the famous Brazilian mines of Minas Gerais.

Damas has held an exclusive reception at the Jewellery Court, Saks Fifth Avenue in the Burjuman Centre in order to mark the launch of the range in UAE, featuring Brazilian music and models wearing Vancox 18-c gold rings, pendants, necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

Ranges from jewellery design studio Vancox that will be available in UAE through Damas include the Lotus collection, the Pastilha Collection, the Morro Velho, the Nautilus collection and the Renascenca collection.

Damas is an international integrated jewellery and watch retailer with around 450 stores in 18 countries around the world, primarily in the Middle East, India and Italy.
