Thursday, 22nd January 2009 (918 views) Ventura Gold has reported that the resource estimate for the Angela Vein at its Inmaculada project is 483,000 ounces of gold.According to the firm, the inferred resource ounces at the Angela Vein at the property in Peru are contained within around 3.7 million tonnes of ore at an average grade of four g/t gold. The inferred resource estimate is compliant with the National Instrument 43-101 and based on around 15,000m of core drilling and assay data collected to the end of 2008. Eric Edwards, Ventura president and chief executive, said: "We are pleased to announce the discovery and definition of a new gold-silver deposit This discovery is Ventura's most significant accomplishment." Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Ventura Gold is a US-based precious metals company with exploration projects in Peru, Arizona and Nevada and more than $1 million (£722,000) worth of strategic investments in companies with operations in Mexico, Ecuador, China and Africa.
