Links of London has announced the launch of its new spring/summer 2009 gold jewellery collection

Designed by the company's new creative director Elizabeth Galton for next season, the range is entitled Flutter & Wow.

Ms Galton's debut collection for Links of London, Flutter & Wow comprises necklaces, bangles, chains, bracelets and pendants.

“In creating a luxe iconic heart motif for Links of London my vision is to fuse modernity and offbeat glamour - reflecting the edgy styling and urban cool which makes London the epicentre of innovation,” she stated.

A play on the musical term ‘wow and flutter’, the range is “an apt metaphor for the rush of romance” and features an asymmetrical, gold heart-shaped cage in the designs.

Highlights of the Flutter & Wow collection include an 18-c gold pendant and a statement bangle with spinning gold charms.

Another London firm, Star Jewellers of Hatton Garden, has also launched a new collection for Valentine's Day 2009 featuring a range of items in white, red and yellow gold.
