The deadline for bids on a rare gold pin has been extended to Monday May 25th.

Engraver Godfrey Lundberg inscribed the head of the gold pin with the Lord's Prayer between 1913 and 1915.

Now up for sale by Antique Engravings, the firm said that increased interest surrounding he object has led it to extend the deadline for bids.

"We just wanted to extend the auction deadline to ensure we had time to sufficiently spread the news about this unique opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind collection of rare art and history," spokesperson Tim Warren stated.

According to the website, traffic has risen by ten per cent each month and additional information about the artefact is now available to view online.

Meanwhile, sculptor Willard Wigan has created a miniature replica of an Oscar out of 22-c gold, standing at 0.25mm, the Nottingham Evening Post reported.
