West Timmins Mining has announced that it has discovered a new gold mineralised zone system on its Hwy 144 property in Timmins, Ontario.

The company stated that drilling on the Canadian prospect intersected a new zone of gold mineralisation 16.1m wide and grading 1.11 g/t gold in hold Hwy 08-05, while anomalous gold mineralisation was also intersected in hole Hwy 08-03.

West Timmins Mining has revealed that the new zone is hosted by a porphyritic syenite intrusion and is located along the same trend as its high grade Rusk gold zone and the 1.3 million ounce Timmins West gold deposit.

Additional drill holes have been completed on the property in the vicinity of the new gold zone and results are now being logged, sampled and assayed.

Straddling regional highway 144, the Hwy 144 property is part of the West Timmins gold project which is in North America's most prolific gold camp.

West Timmins Mining is an exploration and development firm focused on district-scale gold projects in North America's major gold camps, including the Rusk Gold discovery at its Thunder Creek joint venture.
