Friday, 20th March 2009 (1803 views) An 18-c white gold locket was auctioned as part of a recent event that brought the music and fashion worlds together to "celebrate the role of mothers".The Mummy Rocks! event on March 18th to mark Mother's Day was in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and was attended by a host of fashion and music stars. Stephen Webster hosted a champagne reception, marking his first event as creative director of fine jewellery house Garrard and created the exclusive white gold locket specifically for the rock 'n' roll celebration of mothers. Other top prizes in the auction included lunch with Stephen Fry, a meet and greet with Simon Cowell with tickets to Britain's Got Talent and a kiss from Kate Moss. Established in London in 1735, Garrard, the royal jeweller, has a history of creating unique gold jewellery pieces and produces a bespoke items for international royalty and heads of state today.
