Quirky gold items by designer Aaron Basha are now available from luxury retailer Harvey Nichols in Dubai.

Inspired by "notions of love, life and family", New York-based Mr Basha's fine 18-c gold jewellery is handcrafted in Italy, AME Info reports.

Aaron Basha collections available from Harvey Nichols include Baby Shoes - created to mark the birth of his first grandchild - Era Opulence, Evil Eye, Love Bug and the Alien and Monster charm range.

Guided by the philosophy "everyday should be a holiday to celebrate life", he produces unique designs that are sold around the world.

Whimsical Aaron Basha bracelets, brooches, cufflinks, pendants, necklaces and earrings are all now on sale in the fine jewellery and watches department of the emirate's Harvey Nichols branch.

In related news, a new Raymond Weil boutique has been opened in Dubai Mall's Gold Souk by distributor Al-Futtaim Watches and Jewellery, bringing the total number of outlets carrying the watchmaker's name in the UAE to four.
