Two gold pocket watches are among the items being put under the hammer by US firm Eldred Co in its sale in East Dennis, Maryland this week.

An 18-c Tiffany hunting case timepiece and an 18-c chronometer from Longines are up for grabs in the two-day auction, which began yesterday (June 25th).

A listing on Antiques and the Arts Online revealed that around 150 lots are on offer, including a bracelet, a brooch, a ring and a collection of ten charms all made from the precious metal.

The lots were drawn from a variety of places, including Mark Lawrence Antiques in Brewster, Maryland and the estate of Dennis resident Allan Neal.

Further gold objects are being sold today and tomorrow in the US by Hap Moore Antiques Auctions of York, Maine.

Among the lots being offered by a number of old families from Boston, New Hampshire and Long Island is an 18-c gentleman's wristwatch by Cartier.
