A new gold watch is to be launched in the Middle East by Parmigiani Fleurier.

The company is introducing the 18-c timepiece as part of its Kalparisma collection and Eye of Dubai reports that it is worth around $40,600 (£24,530).

According to the news source, the gold watch is available either with a date display or with a small second hand in its place.

"As a highly feminine detail, there is a five-branch star - marking the rhythm of the seconds - animating its face, giving it a unique touch," Eye of Dubai stated.

In addition, the Ouranos model has been unveiled as part of the same collection, offering the "choice of a more jewellery-oriented watch".

Last week, ViaLuxe revealed that a unique gold watch had been produced by Omega, with the 18-c piece set to be auctioned off in aid of duchenne muscular dystrophy in Monaco later this year.
