Alicia Keys will launch her new range of gold and other jewellery at a special event later this month.

The singer will showcase her designs - made in collaboration with jeweller The Barber's Daughters - at an exhibition in New York's Collette Blanchard Gallery on November 23rd and 24th.

Each of the items has been inscribed with a message aimed to inspire the wearer.

Keys is one of the founders of the Keep A Child Alive charity, which supports families in Africa and India who are affected by HIV and Aids and also has Padma Lakshmi and supermodel Iman on board as ambassadors.

One of her new jewellery pieces - an 18-c gold necklace decorated with rubies and blue kyanite - was bought by actress Halle Berry at an auction set up to raise money for the non-profit organisation last month, People magazine reported.

The total price paid for the necklace was $40,000 (£24,126).
