Friday, 6th November 2009 (445 views) A jeweller in Western Australia is today (November 6th) launching a new collection made up of gold and other pieces that can be both worn and displayed as art.Linneys - which has outlets in Perth and Broome - has created 25 exclusive jewellery items that can be bought in a frame, meaning that they can be hung up on a wall when the owner is not wearing them, WA Today reports. The fantasy-inspired collection is being unveiled at a cocktail party today at its store on Rokeby Road, Perth. Among the pieces on display are objects designed by Pippa McManus. Linneys was founded by Alan Linney in Perth during the 1960s. Australian actress Melissa George is currently the face of the brand. The company uses gold mined at various projects in Kalgoorlie in its necklaces, bracelets, earrings and other products. Kalgoorlie sites produce most of the gold mined in Western Australia.
